With two head coaching vacancies being filled and Tom Brady announcing his retirement some big dominos have already started to fall for this offseason. Making this a good time for a 2023 NFL mock draft.

Without any further ado, let’s start at number one overall.

Mock Trade- Houston Texans: Bryce Young QB Alabama:

With Justin Fields heading into year three and a lot of quarterback needy teams the bidding war for the number one pick could get exciting.
A swap between the first and second pick would make a lot of sense for both sides. As for the Texans it’d prevent another team from trading up ahead of them and taking the quarterback that they want. For the Bears it’d allow them to pick up additional draft picks while still having their choice of any non-quarterback I’m this class.

To kick off the DeMeco Ryans era in Houston the Texans select who many view as the best quarterback in this class and that is Bryce Young.

What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2023 NFL Draft?:

One thing that I feel makes me a prospect for the upcoming draft is my versatility and understanding what’s coming pre-snap. Also being that I started playing football in college I’m very coachable and can adapt to any coaching scheme.

At what age were you first interested in the sport of football?:

Being from New York City (Harlem) the basketball Mecca I was interested is basketball first but when I started watching my cousin play at Ohio State I knew I wanted to be just like him.
What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?:

One thing NFL teams should know about me is that I’m a work horse and adversity doesn’t break me, it makes me stronger. I learned to thrive in adversity in all aspects of my life.

If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?:

If I had one cause in the world that I would donate to, it would be youth development. I believe that giving the less fortunate a shot at different opportunities can enhance their lives significantly. This is done with the understanding that the youth is our future. What they are exposed to directly correlates with our efforts towards them as individuals. You never know who is going to do great things like cure cancer or end world hunger. They just need a chance.
