Private online art lessons are customized to fit any student’s age, level, interests, and availability. Our team of artists can teach drawing, acrylic and watercolor painting, art theory, and more. ArtJamz® is dedicated to making the world a more creative place.
ArtJamz® was founded in 2008 by Michael M. Clements as a production of Genki Media® LLC, a company dedicated to incubating creative start-ups in the Washington D.C. metro area. The ah-ah moment came when Clements was up late one night painting, drinking, and hanging out with a group of friends. “Wouldn’t this be great if there was a place we could do this?” he thought. In 2010, ArtJamz spun out on its own when Clements opened their first paint-and-sip studio out of Washington DC’s Dupont Circle. Out of the gate, ArtJamz® received Best of DC awards from The Washington Post, Washingtonian, and others. From 2012 to 2020, ArtJamz operated three locations in Dupont Circle and Brookland in Washington and in Arlington, Virginia. During that time nearly 200,000 people unleashed their inner artist with ArtJamz and their team of creative enablers.

Like many of us, ArtJamz® couldn’t foresee the changes 2020 would bring. Firstly, the company closed all of its retail locations. What seemed like the end of the business actually presented the opportunity for ArtJamz to better achieve its primary mission – Making the world a more creative place.

With the launch of the the At-Home Paint Kits and the and ArtJamz Virtual Experiences, we’ve been able to weather the storm and look forward to continuing to ArtJamz in real life once businesses can operate at pre-pandemic safety levels. Now, you can ArtJamz from anywhere!
